Lessons Throughout the hardest test and most difficult trial Every day you amazed me when you wore your smile Even though I know you had a difficult life Days filled with hardship, sickness, and strife I assure you that your hardship was not in vain and now you are in a place with no pain And though you've gone so very far away I know that your smile will be here to stay And although you seem to be gone without a trace I know I will forever remember your smiling face.
